The smart factory building solution developed and supplied by IT SME GST is emerging as a standard model of smart factory for small and medium manufacturers.
GSTI (CEO Oh Jun-cheol) recently announced on the 19th that it carried out the 'cloud type smart factory construction project' for seven small and medium precision processing companies nationwide.
'Cloud-type Smart Factory' is a project by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy to promote production efficiency by spreading smart factory construction to small and medium-sized manufacturers, and strengthen the smart factory technology competitiveness of specialized IT companies.
The Smart Factory Promotion Team selected eight IT companies, including GST, in March last year as a professional supplier for building cloud type smart factories in eight sectors.
GSTI was in charge of 'precision processing and ultra-precision processing' to support the construction of cloud-based smart factories by seven manufacturers by the end of last year, and three companies received S grade and four companies received A grade in the evaluation.
GST's smart factory solution is low cost by using self-developed SW and hardware, and supports customized smart factory operation optimized for individual manufacturing environment of a manufacturer.
GST applied smart factory devices for industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) -based machine tools developed two years ago. When running machine tools such as grinding machines and drilling machines, the device can accurately monitor the entire production process and detailed machine tool operation from the receipt of parts to the processing and out of the machine on behalf of the computer.

This project is to export smart factory systems to overseas production sites by combining IIoT and IIoT gates with smart factory solutions owned by small and medium-sized IT companies in Korea.
Oh Jun-cheol said, “Many small and medium-sized manufacturers wanted to build smart factories for facility efficiency and productivity analysis, but it was difficult to introduce them due to expensive devices and complicated settings.” We will help domestic small and medium sized manufacturers build smart factories and improve productivity. ”
