A convergence alliance has been launched to create a digital transformation (DX) ecosystem in Busan.
Busan Techno Park held a launching ceremony for the Convergence Alliance at Centop in Haeundae, Busan, on the afternoon of the 16th.
The convergence alliance included the Busan-Gyeongnam Branch of the Industrial Intelligence Association, the Mechanical Industry Cooperative, the Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Industry Cooperative, the Automotive Parts and Materials Industry Research Association, the Venture Business Association, the Information Technology Association, and the Science and Technology Institute.
Industry-academic cooperation groups at local universities such as Pusan National University, Pukyong National University, Dongmyeong University, Dongseo University, Silla University, Pusan National University of Foreign Studies, and Ulsan Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) also joined.
Starting with the announcement of the Busan Techno Park Convergence Alliance operation plan, the launching ceremony was held in the order of Kim Tae-hwan, president of the Industrial Intelligence Association, keynote speech on "Pragmaticization Strategy for Industrial Intelligence," sharing the status of industrial digital transformation, and various policy proposals.
The Convergence Alliance, which was launched on the same day, will establish a plan to create a regional digital transformation ecosystem through industry-academia-research-research-government collaboration and discover collaboration tasks.
It plans to play various roles such as holding a digital transformation forum, investigating and analyzing demand for digital transformation technology, establishing digital transformation strategies, and discovering collaborative tasks.
Kim Hyung-kyun, director of Busan Techno Park, said, "With the launch of the Convergence Alliance, we will raise the added value of manufacturing-oriented local industries in the digital economy era and provide a foothold for transformation into a digital economy."
