Busan City will select 76 leading strategic industry companies in Busan this year to foster competitive SMEs that will lead future economic growth.
Busan's leading corporate policy, which began in 2006, operates under a single-year certification system.
Leading companies are selected based on the size of the company, growth potential, research and development costs and exports, corporate growth strategy, and special technology.
Companies selected this year include Commeron, GST, and Busan's leading Jiangsu companies, Yuyoung Industry, Dongsung Corporation, Introduce Unitec, Korea Information and Communication, and Aion.
If selected as a leading company, it can receive preferential loans and guarantee support from financial institutions such as Busan Bank and Nonghyup, credit guarantee funds, and technology guarantee funds.
Busan City will also conduct Reading-Busan Theory, a funding project for leading companies, and customized knowledge service support projects to strengthen next-generation technology development and R & D capabilities.
